What are the engine options for the Sonata?
There are a couple of engine options available for the Sonata, and each one will get you to where you want to go with ease. Standard on the first few trims is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that delivers 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque which pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive. The SEL Plus has an engine that is a little more powerful, and it's a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that dishes out 180 horsepower and ups the torque to 195 lb-ft. Finally, the N Line houses the most powerful engine of all as it has a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder pumping out 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. The N Line comes with a dual-clutch version of the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Advanced Features for the 2022 Sonata
There are five available trim levels for the 2022 Sonata, and each one comes with a ton of incredible features that are convenient and technologically advanced. The base SE trim is one of the best base-level trims around, and it comes with LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and an 8-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upping things is the SEL which adds 17-inch wheels, proximity key with push-button start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Blue Link connectivity, and a hands-free trunk opener. Want more bang for your buck? The SEL has an optional Convenience Package with a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument display, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and the Hyundai Digital Key. Not only does the SEL Plus offer you a more powerful engine, but you also get tons of unique features such as 19-inch wheels, simulated leather seating, a 12-speaker sound system, and navigation. The top two trims are the Limited and the N Line, and they both come with outstanding perks. The Limited has a heads-up display, leather seating, power-adjustable passengers seat, and ambient lights. Meanwhile, the N Line rounds things out with unique 19-inch wheels, sport-tuned steering and suspension, and specific styling details.
Safety Systems for the 2022 Sonata
Not only is the 2022 Sonata technologically superior, but it also comes with an abundance of safety systems that are designed to keep you secure and driving with confidence. For example, all Sonatas come with Forward Collision Mitigation with pedestrian detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and a Driver Attention Warning System.
